You can basically chart what type of white guys influenced this list. You got the white guys who got into rap when 400 Degreez or Wayne came out. You got the white guys who love Donuts but have never listened to another Dilla album (or another instrumental album). You got the Drakeo fan white boys - perhaps the most respectable white boys. And you got the white boys who heard of Ka a few months ago and bought a vinyl for $300.

Add in some editor-based edicts thrown in for diversity (Lauryn Hill automatically given a top 10 spot, again) and you have a typical rap list. It is what it is lol...

They’re all about virtue signaling taste and relevance, but they’ve lost what small cultural touch they once had.

Getting rid of their annual Chicago festival was the final nail in their hipster coffin, ready to join the American Apparel’s and Tumblr’s before them.

I’m not mad at The Infamous at number 1 - I actually have it at number 3 behind OBFCL and Doggystyle….which comes onto Doggystyle’s placement - Doggystyle at number 100 completely invalidates this list :mjlol:

You can tell this list wasn’t done with any type of coherence or coordination - there’s some placements that I can get behind (Supreme Clientele and HHNF would actually be in my top 10) but Rich Gang Tha Tour at number 6 is fukking outrageous and I love that tape….
