My opinion is that these albums made a bigger impact on the music scene at large. Chief Keef was many peoples first exposure to the Chicago Drill scene and Young Thug for whatever reason resonated with a lot of people and to be fair he does have originality. Life is Good was a very good album but was ultimately just viewed as another Nas album and wasn't nearly as widely heard. My friends who love Nas' old stuff but aren't into hip-hop as seriously anymore never heard one song off it...
Not saying it's right just that it's the case....
I understand where you coming from, but I'm pretty sure Life Is Good outsold Finally Rich, so that shyt is being heard.

And in terms of impact, Chief Keef's and Youth Thug's albums ARE NOT critically acclaimed. nikkas would recommend a Keef mixtape before his album. Their sales back this up.

I'm not even mad at an album like Yeezus making the list (even though I think it's wack), but why is a list about a DECADE of albums being made when it hasn't been a decade yet? Look at who's making the list and I bet they're not even black, let alone from Hip Hop culture.

That's my point

I must be extra :flabbynsick: because of the 20 or so on this list that i've listened to or even heard of, only about 3 would make it on my top 20 list. the rest of that 20 or so (even the ones I like) wouldn't even make my top 100.

Why are you fakkits complaining? Don't you always complain about rap albums being undervalued compared to other genres? Would you rather the typical cac list thats all rock/pop/country, and one token rap album at 97 or whatever? I think rap is just as good as any other genre, and often times the best. I guess im the only one who feels that way though.

can't believe I once looked at this site as anything more than a resource to discover more music :mjlol:

p4k redid their best songs of the 90s list so that Pavement could retroactively be #1 the year they headlined their music festival :mjlol:

it's over a year until the decade is half over :mjlol:

2010,2011,2012,2013,2014.That's 5 years. The decade will be half over in January.

This list is good too. Hip Hop is well represented. I'd flip 1 and 2, but that's not big deal.

I swear I would fade every fukking hipster and white complex/fader/pitchfork employee if I could.

This is why I say Kanye was a gift and a curse to rap music, he helped rap sway away from the whole you have to act like a thug to be a rapper phase.. but he also indirectly birthed platforms for these culture vulture fakkits to dictate whats hot in rap and the people eat it up:pacspit:

Pitchfork have no fukking credibility. Deleting old reviews, giving Zaireeka by The Flaming Lips a 0 and shytting on all their fans and then giving the next album a 10, giving Andrew WK a 0 and the reissue 8+ etc.
