I think outside the lines did a special on how a Russian hockey team was killed in a similar fashion because management wouldn't pay extra to fly commercial. So the team would fly boarding these low tier old planes with little to no maintenance.

RIP Chapacoense

I'm hearing that the team they were playing Atletico Nacional has asked CONMEBOL to withdraw them from the finals and name Chapacoense the Copa sudamerica winners. It's a small thing, but at least they'll have a bit more money to help rebuild for next year.

The idea of giving Chapecoanse the money intended for the winner is the best one imo. The trophy is meaningless, nobody is gonna celebrate winning a title in this fashion. It should just be vacated this year.

A lot of teams are offering their help by loaning their players so the club can bounce back.

I think about that shyt too, only thing that gives me slight comfort is our Governments strict requirement for our Domestic Airline Companies.

Youre taking a big chance when you fly anything else internationally

A lot of Brazilian clubs offered to loan their players to Chapecoense as well. They're also asking for them not to be relegated in the next three years.
