I've always been a Planet Asia, but haven't followed too closely for the last 10 years.
When he first came to the Bay, my friend at Stanford had a radio show. She would always hip to the records he was putting out in advance.
It must have been 98 or 99 when we rolled to a show in her car, and she was playing songs that he had been working on with Stones Throw/Peanut Butter Wolf. He never actually signed with them, but I'm curious if any of those recordings ever turned up somewhere. I lost contact with her a long time ago, otherwise I would've asked.
