Goatganda the pearl of Africa
Let's look at some Statistics. 19-20 millions black babies have been aborted since 1973 Roe vs Wade. Those babies would be around 47 years old today.

The 3rd most populous state Florida has around 21 million people in total no mater what race. Just in total.
4th New York is around 19 million in total.

It has been enough abortions to fill up the entire state of New York since 1973.

Other state populations:

5th Illinois 12 million
6th Pennsylvania 12 million
7th Ohio 11 million
8th Georgia 10 million
9 North Carolina 10 million
10 Michigan 9.9 million
11 New Jersey 8.8 million
12 Virginia 8.5 million

... You get my point. Then we start getting to states where we could have filled up states twice over with the number of black people missing. Mind you they would only be 47 years old today so who knows how many kids they would have had.

Let's talk about the U.S. Military. It's 1.3 million active-duty troops. We have enough black people missing that we could have went to War with the Entire United States. If the protesting had white people shook imagine if we had a couple million more of us walking around.

people don't see it this why

why do you think cacs are trying to slow the birth rate in African countries, the fastest growing nations are in africa

According to UN estimates, the population of Africa may reach 2.5 billion by 2050 (about 26% of the world's total) and nearly 4.5 billion by 2100 (about 40% of the world's total). The population of Africa first surpassed one billion in 2009, with a doubling time of 27 years (growth rate 2.6% p.a.).

Small in terms of "we do 9 other things so now we can say the abortions we spend all day doing are 1/10 of our services"? Because that honestly is starting to feel like political cover

Ive never heard of someone going to a PP for general health purposes. Just abortion.

Do you get your cancer screenings done at PP? Or your doctor?

Do people(including men) go to PP for STD tests? Or their doctor/the free clinic

How often do you go for the free condoms?
I’m a woman who grew up in a low income area and Planned Parenthood was the only option for free birth control and STD testing.

What was the free birth control? They was giving you sponges on the regular?

But it looks like folks who dont have free clinics go to PP for STD testing, I'll give them that.

There's another option for birth control...it's called keeping your legs closed.

I made a post about it in another thread among other things:

Don't play games. Stop with the leading questions and say what you want to say. Yes, I believe PP benefits women -- especially low-income/poor women -- by providing a bunch of different health/women services they otherwise wouldn't be able to afford. I don't know why so many on here believe they only perform abortions. They only make up a small percentage of the services they provide at 3%.

1) STI/STD testing and treatment
2) Contraception (including vasectomies)
3) Pregnancy testing and Prenatal care
4) Cancer screenings and prevention
5) Abortion services
6) Other services (Family practice/Adoption referrals, etc.)

I think you're missing a stat.

Black women and wyte women in America have approximately the same number of abortions per day (raw numbers).

If NO abortion was legal, the population ration would still be about the same.

Latinos and Asians are outliers because they're population grows due mostly via immigration, not via live births (let's not forget that China dwarfs the US in # of abortions per year)

I got the pill, not the sponge.

But when entering a PP, they have you fill out a sheet it asks you for your income, if you put a low amount, whatever you go in for you can get for free.

Before I had certs and was making $7.25/hr this was clutch.

I understand the history behind Planned Parenthood, but most women there was getting birth control, STD testing, and Pap smears.

The population control narrative is just so fukking stupid. If PP was supposed to be population control then they are doing a horrible job of it.

Wrt Sanger and abortion and those claims.

Sanger was pro-birth control and anti-abortion. This may surprise you, considering that Planned Parenthood opponents frequently accuse Sanger of erecting abortion clinics in Black neighborhoods, a practice they claim the organization continues to this day.

But this is simply not true.

Sanger opposed abortion. She believed it to be a barbaric practice. In her own words, “[a]lthough abortion may be resorted to in order to save the life of the mother, the practice of it merely for limitation of offspring is dangerous and vicious.” Her views are, ironically, in keeping with the views of many of the anti-choicers who malign and distort her legacy.

In fact, Planned Parenthood did not even begin performing abortions until after 1973, when the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade legalized the practice. Margaret Sanger had been dead for four years by then. And currently, less than 4 percent of Planned Parenthood clinics that offer abortion services are located in communities where more than one-third of the population is Black, according to a recent analysis conducted by Planned Parenthood that Alencia Johnson, assistant director of constituency communications at Planned Parenthood, shared with me via email.

A broader analysis conducted by the Guttmacher Institute in 2011 based on data available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that fewer than one in ten abortion providers overall are located in neighborhoods where more than half of residents are Black. It is simply false that Planned Parenthood is targeting Black women by setting up clinics primarily in Black neighborhoods.

It is true that Sanger was a proponent of eugenics, and pro-choice advocates do themselves no favors by attempting to whitewash this fact and paint Sanger as some infallible feminist hero. Sanger was passionate about contraception—perhaps to a fault—and her fervor about promoting her birth control agenda led her to align herself with eugenicists, along with racists and an assortment of people of questionable character.

But it is simply untrue that Margaret Sanger wanted to exterminate the Black race. This is a flat-out lie. Yet it is one that is repeated ad nauseum, both by anti-choice activists and the politicians who support them, most recently Ben Carson.

In propagating this lie, anti-choicers infantilize Black women and strip them of their agency: They portray Margaret Sanger’s birth control agenda as something that was done to Black women, rather than something in which Black women and much of the Black community as a whole enthusiastically participated.

It's good they're removing her name. It's been used to stigmatize PP for too long (by bad actors). That's not to say she wasn't a piece of shyt, she was, but not because of the reasons some of you were lead to believe.

As a female, and a nurse, I know plenty of women who go to planned parenthood for services other than abortion. (Contraception, pregnancy tests, screenings, pelvic exam, etc)

The PP closest to me actually doesn't even offer abortion services.

Lower income women tend to use it because of lack of copay / money .

Also, let's not forget, private obgyn can also do abortions.... my very 1st gyno did them in his office (I went to school with his kids)

When I was in college back in the day my girl got bunch of condoms from there for free and I didn't have to buy any for months :blessed:

Bill Gates father was also the head of planned parenthood. If you think these guys don't still have that same sort of agenda going on, then you are deluding yourself. Why do you think Bill Gates is obsessed with injecting blacks with 'the vaccine'? He was talking about population control in Africa a few years prior, and outlined vaccines as a key to population control in another speech.

Thank you for posting this and these particular graphics.

It sucks to say it but the Republicans may have been right about this organization.

The chart and info you posted is from Planned Parenthood themselves. And it is a lie. Follow me here

The pdf link you posted gives an an approximation of the 3℅ from your pie graph: 323,999. So that says planned Parenthood only performed 323,999 abortions in 2014. That is a fukking lie.

Documenting changes in the number of health care facilities that provide abortion is also an important activity, as the number of facilities can directly affect the availability and accessibility of care. In 2014, the vast majority (95%) of abortions were provided by clinic facilities, while 4% were provided by hospitals and 1% by private physicians’ offices

95% of abortions are done in clinic facilities of which PP is the biggest and most notable. This source is accurate for 2014 as well.

So dont try to deflect the following to private clinics and personal physcians, they don't do even 10% of abortions

CDC reports 652,639 total abortions for 2014
Guttamacher reports 926k

How do we explain the disparity? Access to abortion clinics is strained even with PP being the most well known and funded brand in eugenics abortion. Yet im supposed to believe they barely make up half of the actual number?

Turns out my skepticism is justified and that is indeed a bogus number as abortions get funneled in the other services they offer too

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...3-percent-and-94-percent-are-both-misleading/

Too many shady "mistakes", too many " Concidences" Like how many of these are in black areas vs flyover states. These folks are shady and live up to their founder's duplicity and bigotry.

You work at PP? Not sure what your experience has to do with this

Personal OBGYN make up less than 5% of the number of abortions done nationwide :camby: clinics like pp are 95%. Beautiful story but you are an outlier

The population control narrative is just so fukking stupid. If PP was supposed to be population control then they are doing a horrible job of it.
Lowest conception rate in history shows otherwise
