Sounds like they're upset at all the publishers they've worked with, not just Microsoft.

Yep they thought they were gonna own that 2nd party AAA lane with games that have AA appeal. I love the fukk outta platinum games but they should focus smaller titles to build the brand. Try to reuse the fukk outta assets from Scalebound and make it a PS4 exclusive.

Kamiya seems petty as fukk to do something like that.

Y'all kinda reaching with that Microsoft shyt. Sounds more like it's the fact that all of their games are tied to a publisher(Nintendo, Sega, etc.). So they can't for example, bring Bayonetta 2 to PC/PS4 if they wanted to.

They're my favorite developers along with From Software, so I hope it works out for them.
. The impact of this move by Microsoft cannot be understated - had it not been for smash hit Nier: Automata, which released just a few months later, Platinum Games would have faced financial bankruptcy.

Take it up with the author. THEY STATING FAX!

That is not a fact. That's what the author made up with zero facts to back it up.

Platinum has never said anything like this.

Microsoft did not fund Scalebound and the game was 4 years in development with Platinums money when the plug was pulled. On top of the fact they aren't allowed to shop the game to another publisher because it's Xbox exclusive. It was a crushing to them financially.

Their next game nier as the head of platinum states saved the company....

Kamiya tweeted: "NieR's success has to this point given Platinum a new fanbase, a growing staff, a brilliant success story, an increase in qualified job applicants, and a great benefit.

"Normally, I can't help but do everything by myself... it's a pitiful story, but to say that Yoko-san saved Platinum would not be an exaggeration. I cannot thank him enough."

:manny:

Sorry pal. Microsoft tried to catch another body and failed.

No. Microsoft owns the IP. They foot the bill 100% for whatever was completed. Otherwise they would have no say in what happened to the game.

How the hell they pull the plug if they didn't pay for anything? :stopitslime:

It saved the company because literally EVERY game they have EVER dropped flopped commercially. Vanquish, Bayonetta, transformers, avatar, all fukking flopped.

Scalebound helped them pay their bills until Nier came out.

Oh shyt so Scalebound was the one that actually saved the company. :ohhh: Thank you Bill Gates. :wow:

Would you listen to this bullshyt. :russ:
Never said it "saved" them.

They didn't need "saving"

It was contract work. As a contractor you are paid to do a job. They were paid for the time they spent on the game. Microsoft owns the IP. They may not have made a profit on the game but they didn't lose any money either, cause it wasn't their money being spent.

I really don't understand why yall need this dumb ass shyt explained for you. It's simple business.

The fukk. You retarded breh.:dahell:

Your own link says sonic colors(a flop in itself) DOUBLED the sales of vanquish.

They couldn't get sega to allow them to make Bayonetta 2 cause it didn't sell enough. It says that in the OP for fukks sake. That's exactly what dude is talking about.

You mutherfukkers are dumb as shyt. It's absolutely baffling that I have to type this shyt out:snoop:

Microsoft mismanaged the title trying to add features that Platinum probably had no intention of implementing like Online multiplayer. Microsofts demands caused them to bite off more then they could chew and they got cancelled along with a bunch of other games and studios microsoft was closing. Deading game after game after studio after studio.

No wonder yall exclusives are Trash!

Online multiplayer was in the game from day one. They agreed to make the game day one.

Regardless of any of that they were paid for their work and your thread is trash:martin:
