It's true (and unfortunate), as much as I enjoy some of their games. They really don't have any leverage here.

It's doubtful it'll ever happen since Warner Media fukkery is all kinds of crazy right now, but that could actually work. And they've shown that they're good with having very specific studios on hand of they serve enough of a purpose (looking directly at Netherrealm and Traveler's Tales).

Best thing they've done from a buyer's standpoint is do other IPs justice with little oversight and over delivering in that regard. It makes sense to have them around projects like that. But making good games like that isn't even always the goal when it comes to getting that shyt out the door tbh

If WB/DC does decide to give mid-effort games a push again, Platinum makes a lot of sense.... But that's a best case scenario type of deal. In reality Tencent probably putting up a new sign on their building already.
