i could rock with carti's last project, he is a bad rapper, but at least he put more than 7 words together for 8-16 bars at a time. this one tho? how are you a terrible rapper and still find a way to regress? that's like getting a F in a class, and then the next semester finding a way to get an F- :swaggywhat:


like others said, he fukked up some of these songs so badly that i can't even play them no matter how flames the beat was. his last joint wasn't like that. smh, don't know what breh wants from his music shyt (doesn't he model too or some shyt?), but if he's looking to make it a profitable hustle, just get a ghostwriter. you can keep the low brow rap skills/lyrics, but still have someone pen some shyt that won't straight up ruin production.

Yea actually, his cadences does add an element to the song, a vocal addition to the beat ......imo these songs (beats/melodies etc.,) really aren’t tailored for a j cole, or credible “lyricist”.......this would be the equivalent of Busy Bee Starsky kickin shyt over a track in the mid-early 80’s for a party......(I wasn’t there, just remember it in Paid in Full).....

Exactly......now SOME of these same coli members like Slum Village or certainly can tolerate them over J Dilla beats.....but for the new gen nikka carti....”nah we cant go”







These nikkas foolin.....this shyt fuego......hip hop is hip hop if it’s done well....not necessarily like this or that.....but artistically done well, with our cultural elements....he accomplishes that

yall trying too hard, pretty much no one has said shyt about the beats/production. everybody is feeling the majority of them, you could easily mob out to these as instrumentals, hell even throw your own wack backseat freestyles on them . but carti is so subpar this time out it's distracting. and thats from plenty of us who enjoy dumbed down rap.
