I'm bit too old to get the whole Cardi new gen love but as a casual dj and producer I do love forward thinking music and sounds so always check the new shyt out... these beats I actually really like, lo-fi, distorted 8 bit synths... he's using pitch shifted vocals, sounds interesting... i like the dark vibe of it.. i'll put few of these on in a mix...

Main thing is I am seeing a lot of hate from his fans: so what do carti fans want from his albums? I am confused here.... they want some pop songs? deep lyrics? forward thinking dark shyt? melodic stuff? I dont know what the new gen wants from an album for these sorts of artists... as an music head i know what i want, as a listener I admire the soundscape but can't take it too seriously beyond that
