How is a baseball player who don’t sell out stadiums, a .278 hitter, & not in the top 10 in jersey sales worth more than 300 mil?
This ain’t the 1990s anymore

Especially after Stanton curved y’allCards will throw everything out there to try to get him. Have the money and a spot on the team they really need to take that next step. $300 milli is the starting point of negotiations for him, so of course he's turning that down.
Yeah. We were taking on that whole contract and everything, so money ain't an issue (never really is for the Cards). Ozuna was the Stanton replacement, hopefully his shoulder procedure gets him back to the 2017 level he was playing at. A healthy Ozuna with Harper in the middle of the lineup along with the rest of the squad should put us over the hump we failed at the last week of the season. Basically, we need to make so that the reason he signed elsewhere was because he just wanted to go there, but it won't be for the money.Especially after Stanton curved y’all
