Got black men forced to kiss the ring of white daddy and keep their mouths shut about race soldiers executing our people in thr streets, and some of you still want to rent out your bodies to the slave industry called professional sports. shyt is sad. :francis:

play at a juco and transfer to a D1

If you're good enough. Basketball is competitive as hell though.

I played D2 football on scholarship and (for me :whoa:) it was probably where I should have been athletically. Looking back I should've gone to a smaller school and balled out :banderas:

If you aren't getting solid D1 looks, I would go to the best school financially and opportunity to play. I wouldn't turn down a scholarship to a small school to go Juco with the hopes of D1 unless you plan to go to a local D1. :yeshrug:

Yeah if he is good enough, but he could still play for a smaller d1 like GSU.

Highest level basketball I played was Varsity.

But I did play D1 football for 1 year. Never saw the field once and blew out my Knee. :ehh:
Had surgery, got infected, had to take the rest of the semester off due to medical leave:ehh:
Probably one of the worst decisions I made in college :ehh:
But at least I can say I "played" :ehh:

I have one d1 team interested in me, and the rest are dii and juco.

I would just like to know about the life of a dii and juco athlete to see if it is worth it.

Here was my life as a D2 football player years ago :flabbynsick:

In season

Daily activities: Lifting 2-3 days per week, Meetings everyday before practice, film review on our own, training room before and after practice, M-Th. Practice, Friday walkthrough or travel, Saturday game, Sunday tape review and lifting

Off season:

Film review 2 times per week, lifting 4 days per week, conditioning 3 days per week (T, Th, Sat drill work)

Spring ball: pretty much the same as regular season except for fewer days. Scrimmage every Saturday for a month

If I had a younger brother here is how I would advise him:

Do you HONESTLY think you are going pro?
If yes: Juco - D1 and you better ball your ass off :dame:

If no:

Is the D1 offer "special" to you (dream school)

If yes: go

If no: Find the most sensible small school to go to and ball out. If you aren't probably going pro, go to a school where you can start as a Freshman, play a bunch, be the big man on campus, set a record, and have a reason to go back every homecoming. Make it an experience you'll look back on and love rather than one you will dislike
