Let’s be real though. Kobe has the most wins vs 50 win teams in playoff history. Kobe has won 5 titles and for THREE of them the ENTIRE title run was beating 50 win teams. Bron only has 1 title where the run included beating multiple 50 win teams and it was 2016 he beat two 50 win teams that year. In 2012/2013 he went back to back and the only 50 win team he beat was in the finals!

Kobe’s the playoff king. Bron my nikka though, 2016 finals is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. And he gonna do something special this postseason in memory of the Mamba.

if playoff bron ain’t a thing then there is no player in history that get the nickname “playoff”

Kobe and Jordan played every game the same way. They never needed to declare to folks they were entering playoff mode. They always played as hard as they could regardless of the moment. Only Bron stans talk up this playoff LeBron thing. Every other great in NBA history played hard as they could every game.

Here is Quentin Richardson saying as much:

Bron is a pantheon caliber legend but let's not be disingenuous here, we know the 11 Heat were trying to figure out how to play together for most of the season and at full strength were way better than the Bulls, we also know since 2014 LeBron has had the tendency to coast throughout portions of the RS (especially on defense), his teams last decade were always better than the opponent even the higher seeded ones. Even in 18 they had a completely different roster by the postseason and the east was awful that year. Biggest threat was a Celtics squad led primarily by college aged players, a far cry from even the aging Cs that the Heat beat in 11 and 12. Those Raptors squads were always a cornerstone player (like a Kawhi) away from being a legit threat, trash Bros wasn't it

Reaching 9 finals is impressive but it's as impressive as the 80s Lakers reaching 9 finals with a cakewalk West to go through, that's always been the issue many have with the 9 finals argument
Nobody goes out of their way to downplay Magic though

Nicca at only reason people thought the 4th seeded Bron team even had a chance was cuz Bron was on the team.:russ:

I don’t recall many other times when people looked at a fourth seeded team and thought “man this the best team in the conference, they going all the way”:mjlol:

Man we good....

Let’s just all relax and enjoy this year and the future

Lebron bout out of there, it’s time to set up the next player to hate for the next 15 years

You coulda replaced LeBron with KD and Kawhi and folks woulda said the same shyt cause the competition was weak.

That's our only point. Other superstars could have done what LeBron did in the East. They were just all in the West beating each other up while Bron got to beat up on teams led by Victor Oladipo, Demar Derozan, and a rookie Jayson Tatum.

Winning on a last second shot, and coming down from 0-2 is not dominating

moreover, who in the west, other than the spurs and warriors are those heat and cabs teams losing too?

Rockets, thunder, trailblazers, Jazz
apart from a super team, western and eastern conference were matched

Its not about who you lose to in the early rounds. Its about how much they take outta you by the time you reach the finals. Because Kobe had to face a 50 win Thunder team in the 1st round in 2010, he had to expend way more energy for those 6 games than the customary first round sweeps LeBron had in the East when he faced sub .500 8th seeds. Those tough opponents early on end up affecting your legs down the road. Its a major reason why by Game 7 in 2010 Kobe's legs were dead and he ended up shooting 6-24.

If Bron had to play in the West instead of the East, he would not lose in the early rounds but he would have to expend more energy. And its possible those tougher series in the first couple of rounds take enough outta him that by the time he plays a team like Golden State in 2016 he doesn't have the energy to come back from a 3-1 deficit.

Nobody goes out of their way to downplay Magic though

Nobody uses it to pump up Magic's legacy either. People mention his 5 rings and his remarkable play. Nobody ever uses it to claim he's better than more accomplished players like Jordan.

Bron stans are the ones trying to use finals appearances to boost LeBron above more accomplished players rather than simply going with his 3 rings.
