I've been gaming for a long time, and the most fun I had on gaming... probably NES/SNES era
But Xbox really shytted on PS2 in ways fanboys couldn't fathom then, but maybe now its easier to see why
Besides the upgrade in graphics, and I'm not talking some lame mild reso at launch issues
Games flat out looked much better on Xbox (and the same for X360 for at least half of this current gen)
But what it had was ONLINE gaming. We can't imagine not having online gaming now
PSN went down, people was ready to kill themselves.
And developers took advantage of XBL and made modes that took advantage of it. Often, these same modes was not available for PS2
Tom Clancy games for the most part, two totally different experiences between the two consoles
Ditto with Max Payne. Online was an add-on so there wasn't a real base
Mics were scarce. Maybe you copped Final Fantasy 11 so you could have a modem
Xbox, day one, modem included and executed. And its why Xbox is now the worldwide leader in games
