That's because MS will credit them for the differential in price. I work supply chain/distribution for a living breh. Inventory taking up space is a retailers worst nightmare. They want them off the shelf as soon as they can. So by dropping the price and bundling, they receive a credit back from their supplier for the loss they took on the bundles.
