The thing about consoles they could be built to be on par with pc for a while but what would it cost? Why pay so much for something that does less in comparison? Maybe the next consoles will be the true next gen

consoles should have upgradable GPU's.

Sony and Microsoft could profit off the fact that console owners can't swap out hardware by creating a service for this to be done for them.

"this just in...new GPU for whatever console...bring it in for the upgrade...only $89.99"

3 upgrades a gen are available but you could live off the original build if you want.

Well duh. These consoles were never meant to compete with a PC when it comes to RAW POWER.

The only thing consoles have ever had over PC are convenience and exclusivity.

PCs are becoming more convenient and exclusivity is slowly dying out.

Might as well go to the pc. Console is a one stop type of machine. Developers know to develop for one specification and don't have to worry about how well it plays and look on the low end models
