Has technology advanced enough for there to be a big leap in the hardware?
I don't see a point in releasing new consoles if it will be minor updates.

The jump between SNES and N64 was huge. The jump to PS2 was huge. The jump to 360 was huge. The jump to PS4 was meh

If the next Gen starts next year the jump would be even less than last time

Each generation usually has games that define the generation. Which games define the current generation? Shadow of Modor? BotW which is really a Wii U game. Weak ass Uncharted 4?

True. I feel like Microsoft would want to see PlayStation's hand first this time though.

Sony gotta drop first. X box got 3 damn systems out

If the systems aren't doing 4K 60 frames solid there's no point

I am thinking 2020 for both. There are still limits to be reached on the current Gen. Also I been sleeping on this section.

Next gen needs to be 60fps 4k minimum or there isnt a point with the 1X and pro out there.
