There was a christmas deal apparently for 99 for the whole year too?

Since I travel all the time, I'm not taking 2 consoles and my work laptop so me using PS Now for a game subscription (looking at Batman Arkham Origins and finishing God Of War Ascension) are VERY tempting. I will probably do Ascension first.

For $100 you can buy a lot of used games at gamestop and have a better experience locally.

But I guess this option does give PS Vita owners a reason to pull it out of a drawer these days. Or maybe you bought one of those Samsung TV's you were desperately seeking JUST because it had PS NOW support.

Plus for PS4, yes. PS Now, doesn't even require a PS4 actually or even a system, can be accessed from a computer and soon to be tv's. Which means your rant in a thread about it is kinda irrelevant to the thread.

I admit I've been out of the loop with peasant gaming life and thought plus/now were the same thing...Did not know Now was a separate subscription streaming service...

having more options is a bad thing? If it was strictly a local thing, that's cool. But even then maybe not everyone wants to be tied down to going to gamestop. Accessibility is never bad.

For $100, I can stream over 400 games across a PS4/PS3/Vita/PSTV/SmartTV anywhere, anytime, instantly with everything saved on the mighty morphin cloud

I like the idea of downloading games over the PSN/XBOX LIVE/STEAM networks as long as security is in place to protect your purchases for many years to come. Unfortunately that can't be said for PSN and XBOX LIVE at the moment.

I like streaming as well, but for games? It's just not there IMO and even the slightest lag bothers me. Gaming is a very cheap hobby and considering the fact that Sony basically broke one of their standard next generation ideas of backwards compatibility (at least every launch) at the launch of the PS4 is pretty convenient don't you think?

For all the shyt I give Microsoft about their nonsensical claims with the cloud I do like their strategy on the business side of things over Sony this generation. Too bad their biggest exclusives this gen is the same typical dudebro trash. What is even worse is that a $600 VR Ready PC will run those games even better than their console.

Basically I hate everything. In many ways I am like @Ciggavelli in a sense when it comes to technology, but I am not as vocal about it.

I swear, my cousin, she 16 has been reuppin' PS Now trials using her dad's CC every week(using the free trial on a new user) for the longest.

PSTV is a console "Vita". Not every kid cares about every modern game. She knows about PS4/Xbox 1. She pretty much only plays RE5, GTA V occasionally or Wii U.

She beats RE5 damn near everyday on that shyt. I tried it and i wasn't bothered at all by any input lag which was very small for what I noticed(I only played for like 2 minutes until the chainsaw dude killed me).

As for the PSTV, I have no idea what's "bad" about it. Don't pretty much everytthing run on it nowadays? Or is this just one of those "This thing sucks because it's cool to hate on it?" things based off of past issues?

It sucks because it sucks breh. How do you launch such a device and then limit the games/services that it was trying to grab from the PS Vita device it was based off of? That was such an idiotic release on all levels.

The sub would have all of those games and they would be playable even if he didn't have a PS4. PSNow isn't just for PS4, it's for PS3, Vita, some bluray players and smart tvs have the app.
