I remember you could get PS+ dirt cheap. Like $30 on sale and I'd stack years of it up. The last time I bought any of it was in 2000 according to their web site and it all expired in like 2022. To this day I haven't added anymore.
At this point it's purely a revenue extractor for current customers. It doesn't seem like they'll add much to the service other than the old sold through games they've been adding mostly and the price will continuously rise.
I still can't believe that I have 2 PlayStation 5 consoles and a 4 in my house and the only way I can get a save file from one to the other without wiping the console is to pay for this service. That's not even a real benefit. Those are my game files and they've locked them down artificially. "If you want to access your own files freely you have to pay us" F
uck that. I don't even care about cloud saves I just want to be able to physically move my own files between systems. I still have PlayStation 1 and 2 save files on memory cards.
