There are some nice headphones that are wired like I got the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pros which I have wired into my receiver. Sounds amazing.

The good ones usually don’t use a 2.5mm jack, and most people don’t have a good pair of wired headphones.

In the context of comparing the cost of piecing together your own remote play setup and buying this device, i think the cost of headphones should be considered.

It just got BT capability last year, and the lag on it is terrible. It would be even worse on a remote play device

It was a couple years ago and it works just fine.

I use bluethooth headphones with my steam deck and it works just fine.

No, I’ve used my BT earbuds with my switch, there is a good amount of lag. I dont know about steamdeck, but thats also not even close to being in the same category

I only use wired when i want the best sound quality. Wireless ain’t caught up just yet.

Only use wireless for working out or airpods for zoom meetings
