Please break down this making money on the internet thing for me

I'm not trying to rack up no serious cash, but it would be nice if I could rack up at least $1500 a month from the net. I only want to do it so that I can travel and make money at the same time. Legally, unless I took out permission, I wouldn't be aloud to work overseas, and I wanna move around, so I wouldn't stay still in 1 country for a job.

I'll figure out how to pay taxes on it and all that, but I would like to be able to travel from like April to July and just make money off site visits and sh!t like that. If I get a popular blog, what's it going to take to bring in at least $1,500 per month?

Those are some resources you can look at to give you an idea of what it involves. Basically writing compelling content, driving visitors to your site, and monetizing it with adsense, your own products, affiliate links, etc.

Just try to find a niche, its surprisingly easy to make money on the internet...just depends on how much you are willing to spend.

Personally I would start with a stash of 5K and go from there. Your own URL is essential...secure a great url name, possibly put some money aside for advertising, and think MOBILE.

That's the trend now. People are browsing more and more on those devices than they are at home.

That's what I thought you meant by mobile, but (and I say this because I only have a cheap ass MetroPCS), if the consumer's phone is good enough, then it won't matter if I write an essay on my site, because the consumer's phone is as good as a computer and they'll still be able to read it even when they're on the go.

I don't plan on making any apps or anything like that.

I'll do more research on this whole "mobile" thing though.

Are people actually making money on tumblr? How so? I figure its much easier to run the tumblr than running an actual blog/website. But I'm not trying to do this half-assed. I'll provide a link to a tumblr (if I have anything that I deem worth of being thrown in the tumble) on the main site.

But there's many ways, you dont even need to haave your own site and url although thats one of the most common methods. Have a niche site, create content, affiliate links, drive traffic to site, monetize. <---everything else is to aid you intoi doine one of these things (seo).

I agree with you I just hate when I'm on my mobile, ipad, etc and them damn ads come up. Sooo anoying but I know they aren't going anywhere.
