Bobby Roode fit that same bill to a T :ohhh:

Bobby roode was always slated consistently in every facet as a higher pedigreed worker than Kennedy.

WWE bias just gave Kennedy the nod over roode as to why Kennedy was rewarded a title reign before roode.
Plus, roode was still un a top flight arguably best of the best tag team run with storm.
Plus locked in a best of feud with mcmg if I remember right to the time.
before roode and storm were in bfg and given the nod as singles me guys in tna.

Mr Kennedy should have been ultimately done in tna.
when Kennedy was inserted into and ruined aces and 8's.
Concluding with when bully piledrove him into a coffin.

The internet hyped him up so i followed along. But he was pretty good i must say.

I did dig how he was the only wrestler to do Japanese style moves an indy moves in the E at the time. He could go. He could of been a more interesting Jeff Jarret type main eventer, but not sure of backstage politics of what went wrong. They wanted to do big things with him, and he would have been just as interesting as Edge. He had something, just not Hall of fame something.

But MVP had similar capabilities and they didn't do much with him in the E.

He was clearly a legit pickup-driving, redneck piece of shyt dudebro. He was able to connect with the WWE audience, a large portion of which were pickup-driving, redneck piece of shyt dudebros.

He also had a catchphrase where he yelled at the top of his longs for a long time and the crowd liked yelling along with him.

So in a hilarious way, he was like a combo of Stone Cold and the Rock, in the most perfunctory, superficial way.
Except without the talent and drive to be great...he maxed out in months.
