You mean why did hip hop stop ripping off 80s pop songs for hooks? I don't know, but I'm glad it did.

to be fair, whites are the ones who mostly listen to alot of stuff like this, our own people mostly like keef, ross etc

Thats because white people are late on Hip Hop. :childplease: Most whites that listen to shid like this today weren't doing so in the 90's. :stopitslime: Black folks listen to what is new at the moment because they have already heard most of them songs from the 90's more than a 100 million times. For many black folks, listening to some old Hip Hop like it jus came out is just as bad as coming out of the house wearing the clothes from that era.

The Mecca of HipHop
PIFF. Saw the sample was already posted. A lot of reasons, but HipHop/Rap evolved from being about social issues in the past for the most part to money, cars, jewelry, and fame today.

That's been a staple of hiphop for over 20 years now. I don't think its something recent by any means. Blame :takedat:

Cause only a small group of people give props to a nikka for not evolving.

I mean, if you want to stay in 97, this is cool. There's only but so many 80's tracks you can sample and :takedat: already cornered the market on most of the good ones. lol
