start menu, look for "computer," right click on computer and hit properties, look at system type. It'll tell if you're 64 or 32

do you have win 8.1? You can easily check by going to the tiles screen and looking for a down arrow. If you have that down arrow, then you have 8.1. IF you have 8.1 then get the 8.1 version
