We’ve had this conversation at work, and I truly believe that’s todays system is different enough than in the 80’s that if they essentially fired us all like Reagan did it would be INFINITELY worse

Military isn’t working airspace like we are, and the country would grind to a halt.

Would it eventually get better? Yes.. but it would take years or even a decade for things to be “normal” again

Yeah this isn't the same NAS as the one in the 80s the volume and complexity has ratcheted up a lot compared to back then. Alot of the prior military that gets picked up to work struggle a bit before they figure it out. It's just a totally different level of complexity that's consistent that they're not used to
