Facing total ecological collapse and nikkas wanna argue about overpopulation :francis:

It's pesticides that's the cause of this, and we have the technology and land to not need pesticides to feed and support every human being on earth 3x over.

I think this thread needs to be permanently stickied. This is not some political issue that just gets swept under the rug. The ramifications behind this are catastrophic and no one should stop thinking about that.

I’m extremely troubled by it all and the forgetful nature of our society. People have the attention span of a fruit fly in a world where fruit flies may no longer exist.

Pesticides are a big part of a whole range of destructive corporate farming techniques that cause it. And the sheer volume of land being used for agriculture is an issue in itself - mankind is now using 50% of the arable Earth surface, and the large majority of that is agriculture.

All of our farming is focused on maximizing short-term and medium-term profit, which often means minimizing labor while ignoring pollutants and sustainability. We should be focused on maximizing sustainability and minimizing land use instead.

Amen to that.

Someone pointed that out to me like two years ago and it was some really shocking shyt.

I remember taking a road trip to Missouri when I was a kid and you had to wash the bugs off at every stop. As a 10yo kid it was kinda cool looking at what showed up on the grill.

Last May my homie and I did a road trip covered 2000+ miles...I don't remember cleaning bugs off at all, just dust.
:ohhh:oh shyt another one i forgot about. 2003 at a damily reunion in NC...on some country we driving and it started raining me

:picard:why is the rain brown down here. Yall country nikkas really that dirty:mjgrin:
Country kin: *slap* its not rain, its bugs

Reunion two years ago, barely any bugs
