Good episode 3. Typical BB/BCS pacing.

I didn't know that Sprouts was national. There's one in Philly, but I've never seen one anywhere else.

Paraguayan guy is gonna be the sidekick. Carol telling him to fukk his moms is gonna spark the idea in his head to team up. I was hoping he'd show up at the end of this episode.

So Carol falls in love with pirate lady, I wonder what complication or conflict will happen where Carol is forced to decide between her love and saving the world?

I'm gonna keep calling her pirate lady btw :dead:

This latest episode only reinforces my fears about the pacing/direction.

Jamming the entire premise and the immediate aftermath into one episode and then having two entire episodes dedicated to Carol’s antagonism vs. hivemind’s collectivism without any real development is jarring. The grenade was just a weird plot device given all that Carol had experienced prior to that. I get the humor behind the request, but don’t understand her reaction to it and then subsequently layering that by having her ask for a nuclear weapon in wake of it.

Like how many times are we going to be beaten over the head with the same shyt?

If these episodes are going to continue with these types of interactions then it’s going to get stale quickly.

And like I mentioned the other day, it’s really suffering from a lack of actors that Rhea can either bounce off or offer some different perspective to break up the monotony of it all. I think that’s especially important given all that transpired in the first episode.

Never going to happen. Pirate lady is part of the reason her wife is dead. Carol won't forgive them for that.

DHL guy was comedy. :mjlol:

This premise is wearing on me. They need to bring in some non Hive people asap to interact with Carol. And introduce a new conflict.

This would be better if the character stopped being mad all the time and was doing some secret shyt behind the back of the body snatchers like trying to figure out how far their listening capabilities go, pushing requests to a limit etc. Like for example there is obliviously a leader despite them saying there isn't and operating in union.

The Sprouts scene was definitely a highlight, and it may just be a personal grievance of mine, but I wonder if the show would have been better served to start off with the tone/pacing of Episode 2 and 3, so scenes like that build up the intrigue and mystery, so we're left to marinate and ponder exactly what has happened and what is going on, and then we're slowly drip fed what led to all this and then we get at least two flashback episodes of the actual event near the end of the season.

Rather than having the climax right at the start, where it's already set this emotional hysteria, only for it to immediately drop off a cliff and we're left wanting more, except it drags its feet and the slow moments don't quite hit like they should because the interest for the narrative isn't the same.

I'll definitely let it all play out before making any definitive ruling, but it's just some thoughts about how it's feeling up to this point.
