I liked the episode, only issue for me was the grenade stuff. I feel like it couldve been handled better. It made no sense for Carol to think it was fake. I loved the exchange at the end and seeing Carol's brain working asking the questions and realizing there is something there with the atomic bomb question.
I also loved this transition. I ran it back like 5x just to watch it, so clean and smooth.

I feel like the grenade stuff and questioning the driver shouldve happened earlier. Hell maybe even episode 1 after she got over burying Helen. That "would you give me x? what about y?" line of questioning sorta falls flat when you see the dude in air force one with the nuclear football. The Sprouts scene was definitely a highlight, and it may just be a personal grievance of mine, but I wonder if the show would have been better served to start off with the tone/pacing of Episode 2 and 3, so scenes like that build up the intrigue and mystery, so we're left to marinate and ponder exactly what has happened and what is going on, and then we're slowly drip fed what led to all this and then we get at least two flashback episodes of the actual event near the end of the season.
Rather than having the climax right at the start, where it's already set this emotional hysteria, only for it to immediately drop off a cliff and we're left wanting more, except it drags its feet and the slow moments don't quite hit like they should because the interest for the narrative isn't the same.
I'll definitely let it all play out before making any definitive ruling, but it's just some thoughts about how it's feeling up to this point.
