I’m looking at this now actually. Does the price of the course (I’m seeing $759) cover the 2-day course and the exam? Or is it just the two-day course, and you have to register and pay for the exam after?

I dont remember having to pay for the exam as well. Pretty sure its all inclusive. But they are pretty responsive. Send them an email to confirm.

Good lookin @cdub123 :salute:

Earned my SCRUM Master Certification yesterday.

Went through Bearded Eagle like you suggested to support the breh/brehette-owned business. They do a great job of contextualizing the science of it to where it’s easy to understand and see the value.

Scored a 92% on the exam and the ones I missed I was just being a dumbass.

Now it’s time for the big fish - the PMP :noah:

Yo congrats man!!! Really dope to hear! Yeah Bearded Eagle is a dope group. I believe they also do PMP courses too so maybe re-up with them as well. As a matter of fact, they will probably give you a deal if you do with them. Good luck on the PMP. These are life changing certs!!

Honestly dont know.. what are differences in job description/roles tho??

Project Managers manage one or a few projects, which is any work that has a beginning and end…not a continuous operation. PMs can work on one or all of the stages of a project…initiating, planning, executing, control, and closing.

Program Managers work on a collection of projects or large projects that are made of smaller projects.

from what I’ve seen, the main thing that distinguishes PMs from project engineers is that PM includes managing project milestones,l or the payment schedule based on the contract. I’m responsible for coordinating the invoicing and reporting the info to senior mgmt

Dope man, 4 months. Thats great. Did you think the test was tough? So glad I dont ever have to take it again. But make sure you do the 60 CEUs under 3 years so you can renew and not have to take the test in the future. Going to see a lot of companies hit you up now with that PMP in your title. Unlocks a lot more positions in the industry.

Congrats

My company paid for a local vendor (I work overseas) but the vendor course was crap. It was all online but nothing but a buncha outdated recorded videos of a guy presenting on a dry erase board.

The most valuable attribute were the 7 practice exam questions, each 200 questions and timed; they had good feedback for each question... but the damn thing was janky with spelling errors and the same answer choices duplicated unintentionally at times :scust:

To put it into context, my exam had most of the questions framed in Agile/SCRUM scenarios... the prep course talked about none of that. But since I was certified in Scrum, I was more “pleasantly surprised” by the lingo than caught off guard.

Overall, I scored in the top percentile in the exam, “above target” in all categories: people, progress, and business environment

Congrats

It felt easier than I’d anticipated but granted I did plan and study my ass off for it. In retrospect the practice exams from my prep course asked me some pretty stupid questions, phrased in ways that made me get ish wrong more bc of the wording... whereas I found the actual exam questions pretty clear.

That said, I ain’t tryna take that ho again lol
So I’ll definitely be on it with the CEUS.

And yea, I done updated my LinkedIn and put in alerts for some gigs I been eyeing for a while. Hell, my current management was hyped that I got it and with a top score. Reimbursed me for everything.

Appreciate it once again brother :salute:

I’m going to take googles project management cert through Coursera

Google Project Management Certificate

$39 a month and the average time is around 6 months :ehh: I’ve heard people get it done way faster though
