Nah crime is really up. The reporting hasn’t changed. That’s what it is right now.
It’s been heightened since the pandemic. I’m at a bit of crossroads as to whether crime is really up or just being reported more.
I do think it’s the former because it’s like the criminals and jackboys got smarter.
They started targeting bigger fish and the more affluent. So a lot more white people living in the McMansions in the hills are getting got on a the regular.
There’s definitely a bit more of thesentiment in spaces throughout LA.
I’m also not the best representative here for this question because I’m on that lowkey and unassuming well off, swag.
I don’t see them getting tough on crime any time soon either.
I
HL called me Maga for saying people in real life not trying to hear politicians downplay crime and excuse criminal behaviorIf SF can vote out a progressive DA, LA and surrounding cities, which has never been as liberal as the Bay, certainly can
AbsolutelySome of these dudes are trying to get on songs with the rapper that's "checking in" with them
Hide the ladder clipWhy are his shorts so long
You saying a bunch of nothingYea so honestly that ‘jealous and hate’ excuse is even worse. That’s the bullshyt excuse people give when they want it to seem random. ‘Nipsey died over jealousy’. Yeeaaa, no he didn’t. ‘Dolph died bc people are just jealous’. Mm, no, no that actually wasn’t it.
It’s ironically not much different from the BS excuse the biggest gang—-the United states government—-used. ‘The taliban commits acts of terror bc they hate our freedom’. Yeeea, so it was a lil deeper than that
With each case above it’s deeper than “jealousy” . ‘Jealosuy and hate’ as a motive is just a bullshyt mask that allows people to pretend gangs and street politics aren’t real. And in some cases (not this one) to shield the victim. No one wanted to talk about Nipsey’s gang affiliations or what Dolph was into, or the car Pop smoke stole. None of that justifies their murder obviously, but to shield that potentially ugly part of the story it it’s easier to just say they were killed over “jealously and hate”
Call me old, but I hate this Instagram generationYou seen how boy on the left was reaching early? Lmaooooo.. tried to time it up. They probably had to record 10 times to get it right

This isn't happening to celebrity whites or Hispanics....and it's not happening to regular whites or Hispanics
You're trying to make it sound regular but it's not
RIP and all that but the fact of the matter is:
1. Dude was a street rapper.
2. He was out of town flossing.
1 or 2 by themselves would be enough, let alone both at the same time.
And no, I don't think this would happen to some random ass celebrity. Or De La Soul, for that matter.
Anybody can get got anywhere but this shyt is heavily lop sided in favor of happening to street rappers, especially street rappers OT.
Fred.
Gang CULTURE. Culture is the new name for criminality?
Great Post.
Though, I hate seeing that last statement whenever a rapper is murdered.
"This happens daily, but you only care now because it's a successful artist."
Why is that always used against us?
We don't know random breh 232423, who died randomly. Sure they look exactly like us, but they're no actual connection.
People have connections with all these guys being murdered. That's the power of music; they create moments and memories that impact people's lives that will stay with these people for their entire lives.
Might not be us specifically, but there are a bunch of people who listened to PnB Rock heavily; his come-up probably defined their high school years, or it probably got them through rough times.
These guys are also supposed to represent success for people who don't often receive success. It's a sign, a symbol that shows anyone can do it, especially people that look like us.
So it's annoying as fukk when people choose the jealous route and want to take the man's life over something materialistic when he represented something bigger.
No one wants to hear that "better follow the rules" shyt for criminals who don't even follow rules to begin with.
Shame the nikkas pulling the trigger not the successful artist
Exactly. All other things considered equal (resources, money, education, opportunity) cacs, asians, latino communities are no different from us. The biggest difference is our music puts it out there and celebrates it AND historically this shyt has been done to us on purpose (segregation, redlining, white flight etc) to put us in this bad situation.
Cacs in Appalachia or San Bernardino doing this same shyt are even worse...because they've largely chose to do this shyt to themselves.
Maino is one of those dudes that something like a ten year bid actually saved his life. No way he wouldn’t have ran into something if he was in the streets during his wild days
