Well, comparing X/Y to the old ones...

* More of an emphasis on telling an actual story.

* Moral choices (doesn't affect storyline).

* 3D (goes without saying).

* Over the shoulder camera view (in certain areas).

* Newer Pokemon (plus most of the old ones in the same game).

* Better interface and visuals.

* More online features.

* With Pokemon Bank, you can permanently store all of your Pokemon for safe keeping, meaning you'll never lose them.

* They brought back exp share so all the Pokemon in your party level up at the same time. I believe only one other Pokemon game before had this.

In other words, I don't see them improving on X/Y in the near future, so these new ones will likely be more of the same with a different setting, hence them being updated remakes.

There's too many Pokeman games out. Why don't Nintendo fukking make one for the Wii U and call it a day?? Don't nobody got time to be collecting electrodes at the bus stop and shyt.

Gen 3 was hot fam, I hope they put more emphasis on the Secret Bases, my shyt was lowkey ill as fukk. Wish I coulda threw a party in that bih, woulda had the spot

Damn I want these, I just recently got back into pokemon. I wanted to go back and play the games on the GBA just for nostalgia but i couldn't find my charger

I also wanted to go back and buy some of the older ones. Do yall realize how valuable these games are? People on the internet selling gen 1-3 games for hundreds and thousands.
