You're not answering to what I'm saying and moving goalposts :

Martial Law implies the suspension of the Constitution (not the case in France), the suspension of Parliament (same), the suspension of personal rights/liberties (same). Under the current State of Emergency the State, Police and Military have more power, but not ALL the power : they still have to respond to the law for their actions. President Hollande or PM Valls cannot do as they wish. Also, Martial Law typically involves the banning of any kind of public meeting/demonstration/strike, and one need only watch news about France to see this is not the case.

Constitution has not been suspended, Parliament neither, civil rights and liberties neither. This is not a Martial Law situation. And Martial Law means that the Chief or Armies (in France, Hollande) has all the powers, which is why I brought him up. In a martial law situation he would have all the powers, which is not the case. Words are important, State of Emergency is not Martial Law.

Public gatherings are an issue? There have been massive strikes/demonstrations all over the country for a month now. :francis: shyt there a national strike TODAY. Nuit Debout movement occupied without permission Place de la République for more than a month, you think that would happen in a Martial Law situation? :francis: 3 mosques have been shut down for suspicion of being radicalized, how is that surprising after the attacks? How many mosques have NOT been shut down though :francis:

And that info about "bars and restaurants banned from showing Euro 2016" is bullshyt. It's one "Secrétaire d'Etat" (lower status than minister) who said that and was immediately corrected by the Government. What WAS said is that giant screens would not be installed, as they usually would be, and that local mayors can decide themselves if bars and restaurants can show the games. I was in Bordeaux, games were shown in damn near every restaurant and bar. Same in Paris. The only restriction is the prohibition (decided at the local level) of selling alcohol before and after games that are considered "at risk".

You're still are not answering to this NOT being a Martial Law situation. And you keep only "answering" to one point I raise, I assume you have no answer to the rest.

And I live in Paris. :francis:

And I myself saw two games on the terrasse of bars, in Bordeaux and Paris:francis:

Its nice you are speaking on it but you need to have issues on the articles coming from France banning public gatherings( maybe just for muslims).

So now we went from "Martial Law" to "France banning public gatherings...(maybe just for muslims)" :francis:

France has not banned public gatherings, not for Muslims, not for sports fans, not for strikers, not for anyone. Why is it so hard for you to understand:francis:
