Whenever a cop is about to testify in a case where the defendants are crooked cops and he gets killed, it should be assumed to be a hit. No reason to suspect otherwise.

Edit: he was apparently killed with his own gun in an area where there’s no cameras for five blocks in any direction. This is an obvious hit that was done by department. Similar to what happened to Serpico I’d imagine aside from the fact that he didn’t die.

And the police commissioner, damn well knowing all those details, still went on the news the next day and gave the usual speech about thugs and lowlifes (which made national news--this story probably won't blow up) and proceeded to run a fukking dragnet on the neighborhood as if some local joker offed dude.

I think people needs to make a stink about this and get on the streets. Because, I actually have doubts the feds will get involved and unless the spotlight is held on this case, it will be swept under the rug.

For those who are like "fukk pigs" no matter what, this is beyond that. This is a chance to highlight the corrupt system itself and the death of a cop, a relatively good cop, can be used to do this.

Pretty much. The system can’t change if there aren’t more willing to fight the corruption. Otherwise these departments will continue to operate as a crime family like the five big ones up here and just kill anyone willing to expose them.
