Yeah this is 100% right. I know several that have carved out a damn good living based on the mongers. Most of the ones I know have transitioned to real careers and businesses. They all have cars and better homes that most dominican's. But they are also still availble if you know them. They are just not in Sosua unless its with someone they already know. So the regular traveler will never get a chance with them anymore, generally speaking.You could go to Sosua and not meet someone from Sosua ever. Even if you counted the whole of Sosua it's only 15K people outside of Caberete the rest is small ass farm towns.
Most of the girls on Pedro where from SD and Santiago. I know chicks that built houses and businesses off of hoe dough made in Sosua.

Punta Cana is basically an upscale Sosua without the in your face fukkery.I mean you can go to Punta Cana or Santo Domingo and chill on a resort. Most of the females coming from somewhere else anyway. I ain’t going somewhere I’m not wanted.
