while I agree, I can't celebrate this. escalating tensions will only get more black and brown people killed. we need to be attacking the policy makers who created this environment. it was the government that declared war on americans through the drug war and other policies. not the police. it was the government that created this militarized us vs. them mentality that the police have. until we change those policies, it won't matter how many cops are killed.

Rhetoric and diction is not pseudo intellectual. When you can recognize a words origins or conections to other words you understand what you are dealing with from a mile away.

You are right that police don't set policy. You know who creates policy? Politicians. The same way a tactician creates tactics or a beautician creates beauty. The word itself tells you that. Its no secret.

As for police, they are literally the armed branch of policy manifest.
Without them, policy cannot stand. They are needed to enforce it, by using physical force, ultimately forcing it onto others.

They are probably gon harass a bunch of black people as "potential suspects". Truthfully, this was probably an internal thing because people dont have the confidence to ambush cops and ACTUALLY GET AWAY with it.

They have cameras everywhere, track the gps in your phone...I mean, what was the cop doing when he got hit? Was he responding to a call? If so, they can easily trace the call that got him there.

If dude was just in route somewhere and got hit then it was definitely internal because who would know exactly where the cop was going to be at that time. Unless the people studied his patrols...either way, if a citizen did these, the cops would have an idea on a description/motive ect.

That cop probably knew something that they didn't want him to know or was gonna report something and they aint want it to happen.
