As I watch todays political talk and read through The Coli, I really havent heard any solutions to police v black community issues and concerns. Things wont get changed until you hold your local elected officials accountable and make them do their damn jobs.

1.Every police officer should be equipped with a body cam. Once a officer steps out their vehicle, that camera should come on and start recording. This will not solve all problems but it would hold both the officer and the individual accountable. Ultimately, the citizens of that city pay the price for an out of court settlement. Thats not fair.

2. An officer that has less than 5 years on the force should never patrol by themselves. The more experience you have, the better judgement you should have. Also, an officer with less than 5 years of experience should also patrol with an officer with more than 5 years of experience.

3. If a police union is interfering in an officer involved shooting, that union could be subject to a lawsuit by the city and individuals involved.

Add on.

So if equipping police officers with body cams was mandated by the feds or state and that officer body cam does not come on, that officer should be discipline. Also if its an officer involved shooting, and that body cam does not come on and no cameras captured that incident, that officer does not get the benefit of doubt.

I like what BLM has done by gaining attention to our problems but it fails at introducing any type of legislative changes.

When that BLM activist confronted Hilary Clinton, all she was saying to Hilary we want to stop being shot or something like that. Hilary told her you have to ask for something.

Public meeting with the entire police force or precinct.

Admission of corruption in the force and justice system.

BUT WHO WATCHES THE WATCHMEN??

You cannot ask our expect a corrupt body to reprimand itself, it literally has no authority or incentive to do so. No one to answer to. It's corrupt from the bottom to the top, so unless the whole thing is gutted open, it cannot and won't be fixed, healed or replaced.

Cops are too afraid of justice in order to submit to it. They are people who have become what they were trained to fear, irrational, violent beings. Fear is created such a mess in the first place. Expecting things to go badly.

Unless a large, open and public dialogue is created and the police adopt a completely open policy, NO Secrets within the force, public access cameras within police buildings, nothing will change.

The police need to be policed.
