Political gurus help me out. Bill Clinton & Obama deported more people than any other president. How come they don't get hate for that?

Well trump is vilifying all brown people and calling them "the enemy within" and carrying out his plan in the most hateful and terroristic way. Most ppl understand the need for deportations but many ppl can't get behind the garbage hateful rhetoric him and his administration are showing. People didnt talk about Obama and Bill because they didnt run their campaigns on hate nor did they try to me a spectacle of ripping families apart. That's the entire difference.

They we're giving him passes big time while he was deporting people left and right. Back then you had way more local police working with ICE in the jails. I posted a video a few days ago where it talked about how much easier it was to do deportations back then in California of all places.

i don’t actually think Obama was a ruthless president when it came to deportations. DACA shows he cared. I remember hearing a podcast once that defended Obama numbers.

It wasn’t that ICE was going crazy and just deporting anyone. Bush, changed the way deportations were counted and Obama numbers were high due to that.

Previously they were counted under the catch and release numbers at border crossings. At the end of Bush term, the catch and release numbers were counted towards deportations. Automatically Obama numbers were going to be higher.

He absolutely gave private prisons a layup when he realized this.

Obama also cancelled those private prison contracts which Trump then reinstated. By the time he figured out how Washington really worked it was too late to make any major changes. I bet he wishes he could get a do over as President now. If he only he hadn't relied so much on ex-Bill Clinton advisors things would be a lot different.
