That's pretty much the only reason he was getting playing time at one point, if you haven't heard people praise his defense, you haven't been watching him play.

Like I said earlier I heard people praise him for his ball pressure, but not for his overall performance as a defender. I always considered him to be a pesky defender, not a shut down type of player and definitely not a better defender than shump.

rondo is a pesky defender. bradley will pick your ass up from baseline to baseline. and wtf do you mean by overall performance as a defender?

Bradley because I think he has a more developed offensive arsenal, dude has a good 3 point shot and can be a scorer if need be, but it's pretty close. Plus I think Bradley is arguably one of the better man to man defenders in the game, relative to his size, but Shumpert is right there, you can kind of go either way.

I don't see it. This the first time I've ever heard someone laud avery bradley for his overall defensive skills, while shumpert has been getting praised for his defense all last season.

If healthy you can't go wrong with either one...Avery has the higher IQ and Shump has the size....You gettin maximum effort from both of them...

I think Bradley is better offensively and clearly has the better jumpshot, but I think Shumpert is underrated offensively (atleast in regards to getting to the rim). I think Shump is better defensively; they both move their feet well and although Bradley has the higher IQ (doesn't gamble stupidly as much or play defense with his hands) Shump's size and athleticism put his over the edge for me. his wingspan and athleticism allow him to smother guards and cut off passing lanes better than bradley
