538 says that Bernie Sanders has no chance for two main reasons.

Sanders may be polling well in mostly white New Hampshire, but he hasn’t been able to figure out how to earn more than 5 percent of the nonwhite vote, according to nationalpolls. Nonwhite voters make up more than a third of Democratic primary voters nationally.

Sanders has very little establishment backing: Of the 111 governors, senators and members of the House to have endorsed a Democratic candidate, 100 percent have endorsed Clinton. Only Gore in 2000 came close to winning this large a percentage of the endorsements at this point in the campaign. Clinton’s support comes from north, south, east, west, black, Latino and white.

If Sanders could make inroads in the Black and Latino communities, and keep building the grassroots support, then there's a chance he could make this a "the people vs. the establishment" race. But as long as he's primarily only appealing to liberal White voters, he really has no shot at all in the primary, and so it's pointless to talk about what he'd do in a head-to-head against the Republicans.

Which is crazy since it seems like he'd do more for Latinos and AA's than Hillary would. The problem is at this point Hilary has has vastly more exposure and name recognition

Just need him to beat Hillary and it's a wrap. :blessed:
:patrice: You really think he can win a general election because, honestly I don't see it:yeshrug:

I probably align with him the most out of all the candidates but, I'm not going vote him just to see him get crushed and, the repubs have house, senate, and executive office.

No Republican candidate can win a national election.

I dont know I think a candidate like Bernie is the only way. They going to paint him as a complete left socialist. To me its something for them to rally around. It wont be so much about a good rebublican candidate but, being against a liberal socialist takeover.

Shyts too risky imo.

Also he would get destroyed when comes to campaign donations because nobody with real dough is going to put money behind him.

seriously--it should be easy for bernie to get black voters. he has a huge historical record of supporting the AA community and standing up for equal rights and desegregation...

No. It's what have you done lately. Saying that black people should support Bernie Sanders because he supported civil rights is not that far off from when republicans try to claim Lincoln. FYI, I'm voting for Bernie in the primary but that argument does not fly.

I don't see any other candidates talking about income inequality, minority incarceration rates and police brutality, minority unemployment rates and economic oppression, couple his views he has expressed on those subjects with a history of supporting AA issues he is far and above the best candidate no?
