To me it'll always be Biggie. The difference in my eyes is when Big & Pac were living & Nas was out back then, Big was considered the best rapper out. That separates him from all of these other emcee's living & not living.

Hov has best discography imo. 3 classic albums (Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint and Black Album (arguable but still) )

Nas has 2 classics (Illmatic , IWW)

Pac has 2 (Me Against The World , All Eyez On Me)

Biggie Has 1 (Ready To Die, Life After Death is mad good but still ain't no classic to me

Biggie got best flow, that's not even debatable :yeshrug:
Pac is the most iconic out all of them, I mean even my grandma knows who Pac is and she never heard of other 3 :pachaha:

Hov is also well known but still my grandma consider Em and Pac the only rappers so there's that :troll:

my personal favorite solely by charisma is definitely Pac, BUT Hov, Nas and Biggie all got better technical skill (debatable but I think it's mainly true) Pac ain't bout dat technical shyt except for "Can't C Me", "Ghost" and few other tracks:patrice:

lyrically I'd go with Biggie > Nas = Jay > Pac but Nas and Hov win VS Biggie if u include all of their massive discographies, so Biggie would lose solely cuz of lack of material to choose from, but even with what he's got available he can compete with other two :ehh:

this shyt harder than I thought :merchant:

no one was ever as big as 50 was in New York (even if it was for a small time period)

I dont remember a bigger album than GRODT + the buzz surrounding it coming outta NY....even Massacre's #s are ungodly

...but I think this thread is about quality and skills, so 50 is not really up there

Yea i agree with this.

50 is not even close to being the best rapper from NY.

He's just simply the King of New York because he kicked Puffy out the throne.
