(Poll) Is it deceptive if someone doesn't mention they have kids on dating sites?

That totally negates the persons right to not date someone with kids on any level.

this makes no sense. so they dont tlel you 6 months in after you decide to get serious then what? what if i had a rule i don't want to get serious with anyone that has a kid? then its my fault after 3 months that I break it off after she tells me? this is why they should mention it up front.

If you ask and they say “no” when they really have kids then yes that’s deceptive. But if you don’t ask and they don’t volunteer that information then I don’t see an issue.

Yes it is. Doesn't mean she has to have pictures of her children on her profile but why would she hid the fact that she's a mother?

On this site hinge one of the questions is do you have children or do you want them. she has a child and didn't list that she does. She answered that she doesn't smoke or drink but she didn't answer that she has a child.

I'm a guy so this thread can be for woman dating guys as well. I was talking to this girl for a bit who had a kid and didn't tell me or mention them on their profile. I looked her up on Facebook so I knew she had a kid but she didnt tell me till like a month in. She ended up being shytty so it didn't work out but that seems like a huge red flag no?

Just matched this other chick yesterday and she doesn't mention her child in her profile at all but she just told me today that she has one. Since she's telling me earlier on it's not as much a red flag but still.

Is that not being deceptive or shady not mentioning you're kid or having a photo of them on your dating profile? Not sure I would of even hit like on her if i knew she had a kid.

She should say it up front. I don’t do online dating, so not sure about the etiquettes with photos, but when I’m dating anyone I say it up front(first date).
