wait how do you hate on firefighters? :mjlol:
Thats because most of them are drug addicts or super crazy. T
and how do they get to that point? :francis:
I personally don't go out of my way or seek attention/benefits/perks for my service. Just not my style.

I just feel like it's too much ass kissing at times and usually people who receive that attention abuse it.
they'll give you a free beer on veteran's day and forget about your ass entirely until football season

then its "god bless the troops". the only people that care about vets are other vets and their families. everything else is just shades of bullshyt

I admitted that might be the case :manny: you don't see anything wrong in anything I said? Like I said in the other thread, it seems like the very things that make joining the military so beneficial and alluring are the result of our government/society not investing in similar incentives for the public-- then it's socialism :demonic:

Where is your other thread? Was it bushed lol?

I was in military and if you qualified there isn’t a better option for any breh to do unless he come from a well to do family. Joining the military and “sacrificing” for your country you will always get special perks especially in America.

The military can be a cheat code in America if you use it right.

I think vet appreciation is ok.

Yup, every year we paraded around like people give a fukk, but ain't got shyt to say when somebody go on that 13 man killing spree :stopitslime:.

Vets deserve what they get if they want it.

I say over and I’m a vet. Outside of vets that actually deployed, we get a lot of benefits. I’m certainly not complaining. I get all the perks and haven’t experienced any of the negatives.

Free education, health insurance, cheap life insurance, traveled the world, VA loan, discounts, and intangible stuff too. Never stepped foot in a war zone.

Yes it is.

I received my medical scholarship courtesy of the Army.

They was like that when they went in. A lot of them burn bridges with family and people that legit try to help them.

I feel like America do need more incentive based careers. Because the incentive to join the military is all the shyt they give u to help you. America need free college for doctors then but have them make a commitment to serve in inner city hospital or clinic for like 5years.

Like teachers shouldn’t have to be knee-deep in student loans when they graduate school.

It wasn't my thread, it was somebody else and he was on some other shyt. That part about it being a cheat code and the fact that you put "service" in quotes is kinda what I'm getting at. To be a civilian, especially a black one, you gotta bust your ass for everything you get but give a few years of military service and free shyt and opportunities are just thrown at you. It just shouldn't be that way IMO. Congress can find the money to increase military spending but when you start talking social programs and incentives that could actually help people find alternative routes to success so they don't feel like they NEED the military-- you're going to far
