The Dems need to nominate guys like Joe Kennedy III, Eric Swalwell, Seth Moulton who are relatively unknown but rising, progressive and are also young (under 45 years old).

Caring what racist and sexist think does matter until the Democratic voters can prove they'll vote in mid terms and that we won't fall a lot of the BS reasons a lot of us didn't like Hillary. Until we can do that it sadly absolutely matters that we care about energizing racist And sexist on the other side.

They may not have enough votes to win the popular vote but just like 2016 shows they still have enough votes to heavily influence the electoral college vote and that is what ultimately decides who becomes President.
