Going back to Cleveland was a far riskier move though. He was leaving Pat and a winning organization.KD gets his first. This chasm in ability created by the media between KD and LBJ is grossly exaggerated if not entirely false. Him finally getting hardware is the only thing stopping him from entering the discussion of that top 10-15 players list with upward trajectory as long as he stays healthy.
LeBron didn't come back to Cleveland to "make things right". He came back to Cleveland because he saw a washed up and overly bulked Wade and a softy Chris Bosh fail him in the finals and knew he wasn't winning again with that core.
The "make things right" is what the media focuses on, but to LeBron that was just a cherry on top to playing with a 23 year old Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.
Many people questioned why leave to join up with two guys who know nothing about winning. Even after the 1st year when he basically went to the finals by himself (Kyrie was about 60% and no Love) there were still major questions about it.
People said going to Cleveland was giving up championship hopes.
