it's actually probably what a lot of the industrial revolution looked like only the industrial revolution is happening now in china. they want to be the dominant economy and they don't give a fukk how they get there.

I was one of many who had the image of the industrial revolution seared into their brain by the SATs or some such standardized test regarding butterflies changing colors to adapt to the changing bark on on oak trees in Manchester or some northern British city. I've also seen the permanent damage it has done in NYS, I get the why I can't but help but wonder if it's "worth it". The environmental and economic fallout when China's rise is over is going to make the turmoil England and America faced after theirs ended look like a walk in the park.
