I had to run the song back just now and I’ve never heard it in my life. Songs I’m hearing a lot currently are that SpottemGottem song, some Pooh Shiesty song, Cardi B’s “Up”, “Track Star” by whoever that is, this Coy Leroy/Lil Durk song, and something by Rod Wave.

Fam Durk does way more unnecessary shyt

for all the shyt durk has done you ain’t ever heard him say Gdk scream it or wear no shirts with it

Its stupid and unnecessary especially from polo g he got the number 1 song in the country you at a heat game with gdk stitched in your hat

that’s some low level rapper type shyt, polo g gotta travel around the country. I don’t understand it

Not a big Polo G fan but I like the song. I think it's big with the Tik Tok crowd. I also know apple music/spotify kinda promote some more music more than others

Word.

I want to know a factual breakdown of why.

Ever since streaming hit things got weird.

Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Prince, Nirvana had millions of people taking time to go to store and purchase music.

They stayed on charts for long.

Now people catch #1s fast. 50 Cent even said how if you sell 1000 copies you'll be number one for a bit, then drop off.

The measuring system seems off. Billboard takes sales and "popularity" into account. But when scandals hit billboard - from the 69 to Khaled not earning number one after his work - it seems off. Khaled proved what he sold....they sell packages/bundles....they then reversed their position and gave him #1. Which I thought was an incredible move! And Hip Hop did that even though he was up against other hip hop artists.
I was watching a t-pain stream a while ago he alluded the switch to friday release dates help as well. It used to be when you released something on Tuesday your first week would only count Tues-Fri. Now it's Fri-Thu.
