SSgt Allen checking in. I've been in almost 8 years. I fly on AWACS. (1A4) if you go, definitely get a flying job. I recommend getting commissioned, but if you enlist, definitely fly. You get some of the benefits of officers without being one. im very good friends with a ton of captains and Lts.

I come from a big military family, and my dad used to be a recruiter for the Air Force. Can't give you a lot a lot of advice, but you definitely chose the right branch

You definitely want to try to get a job in flight arena if possible (great hours, great jobs). Basic Training isn't anything unbearable unless you are completely It might seem like hell at first, but military life typically gets better as you go on and the G.I. Bill will leave you

Air force the best branch if your gonna enlist. Better barracks, better bytches, shortest boot camp, better dining hall.
