He really does have song of the summer here but I just don’t have the inclination to wanna listen to him. I listen to UK drill too so NYers are listening to Pop not hearing much else to judge this against.

I don't even like UK drill like that, but i'm very used to the way the kids flow on that production.
They all find a good pocket and it works.
Listening to this in comparison it sounds awkward and sloppy..
Not to mention the production is pretty weak in comparison to other UK Drill beats.

I’m glad I don’t have to raise my kids around these goofs. Parents failed em.

How you think this track compares to UK Drill @ISO, I feel like I’ve heard UK rappers with much better bars than this

I don’t listen to UK drill :manny:

Neither do these guys they find these beats searching “type beats” on YouTube and guys like DJ Axl who made G-Herbo/DJ L sped up drill beats became one of the go tos for NY drill. It’s more of coincidence than NY artists being inspired by UK drill.

I don’t think Pop Smoke intention is to be the best lyricist but PTSD showed he can do more than hard turn up records

There’s a lot of better lyricist in Brooklyn drill

Is this his only project? If so, what album/tape is MPR on?

His buzz peak was Money & Violence and Kyrie Irving. He was fukking with Troy Ave back then so maybe that situation affected him somewhat
