the popeyes closest to me went from having a bunch of black folks cooking and seasoning the chicken properly to having a bunch of white folks burning the unseasoned chicken. Soon as that sandwich blew up the staff changed. I haven't been there since. :hhh:
Ain’t nobody seasoning shyt that shyt is a formula and tastes the same everywhere

Before Pepsi spun them off and fukked up all of the product. I hate Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and KFC but in the 90s, these places were the shyt.


Popeyes never trash. It's always at least good. Bojangles is very good if the cooks are good otherwise, it can be nasty. Church's is only good in the hood with old Black women workers or nikkas who just did a bid. If you see young people, just turn around. Church's and Popeyes were neck in neck in the 2000s but Popeyes just expanded their menu better and won at the end of the day.

100% on Church's.

When my parents got paid on Friday back in the day (mid 90s), we'd hit up Church's in Pleasant Grove or Oak Cliff (Dallas) and get a bucket plus fries, okra and biscuits. They had better biscuits than ANY chicken joint. Probably still do. Only Red Lobster had better but this was 25 years ago so :yeshrug:

KFC, Popeyes, Henderson, Williams, Rudy's, Big Mama's :mjlit:. Think we MIGHT have Bojangles now but it's recent here so I gotta try it. Slim Chicken's is :yeshrug: and Zaxby has its moments. Better than Raising Cane's.

White people lost their damn mind when Raising Cane's came to town. Think we have a lot of college grads from LSU etc., that missed it. Chick Fil A is still the default fried chicken spot along with KFC for white people in DFW. They'd rather have burgers or Mexican.

Wings seems to be the one food everyone eats about equally. Shytload of Asians, Mexicans, whites and Blacks at Pluckers, Wing Stop etc.

How do u double fry?


Once all the chicken is fried, you want to place them back in for the double fried portion. Double frying will help get the outer layer super crispy and golden, similar to crispy sweet potato fries and sweet and sour pork. It’s also a very significant part of what makes Korean fried chicken different from other variations.

I Go To This Spot In The City (They Got A Bunch) Called “Bon Chon” , They Specialize In Korean Fried Wings, I Thought How They Hell They Get The Chicken So Crispy!? It Said On The Menu Their Wings We’re “Double Fried”

Popeyes is super average. Not anywhere near as good as Korean fried chicken.

Had chicken Bonchon and that shyt was the WOAT.

When I took my first bite of a drumstick, the skin broke apart like a dorito and the sauce was sweet as fukk. It was like candy fried chicken.

Threw it out after the first bite
