Probably real, cause its not breaded. It just was scurrying along the counter and fell in... then floated to the nearest piece of chicken and got stuck/cooked onto it.
Storefronts like that where the food place is physically connected to a residence or non-food place are easily accesible to insects and rodents cause they can live in the walls or in the other units then simply pop in the food place to eat. Thats why you want a food spot that is stand alone, not connected to nothing... not an 'express' or mini location cramed in next to a bunch of non-food spots. That Popeyes might have an A health inspector rating... but if the tenant upstairs is a slob... or if the furnature store next door is a mess, you can get scenerios like this one.
