No matter how hard you try, you can't control what your child does or will do. You can only guide them to an extent, whether it be through ass whoopings or life lectures. I've seen chicks that come from good stable homes with both parents and proper upbringing get ran though like they were raised by track stars. Every child's mind is not the same. Peer pressure will cause some to quickly throw morals, consequences and reasoning in the bushes, while others won't be as susceptible to it. Ever seen households with multiple kids who each went in totally different directions in life? As a parent, there's only so much you can do. The child has to want what's best for them too.

Just watched the video. That's what has people saying he went over the line? Chick wasn't even crying and it was the mother who was name calling the chick-not the father.

If the chick snuck away for three days, was he not supposed to be upset? Especially if he found it was over some bullsh#t? To hang out with some dudes or to party with her hoodrat friends?

People want to act like this chick ran away. Who runs away in a damn Forever 21 club outfit and a fresh batch of yacky weave in her scalp? This chick was in the streets doing hoodrat sh#t and her dad let her know that she was outta line for risking herself like that. Chicks really do go missing forever pulling that kind of "I'm going to sneak out" type sh#t. Chicks really do end up getting raped and/or killed when trying to do things that are beyond their age range...like running the streets for three days with their parents having any idea where they are.

I'm not a huge fan of corporal punishment, but I don't believe every instance of it is bad or unnecessary. But some of the responses in this thread are really creampuffish.
